En el año escolar del 2014/15, Risen Christ se convirtió en una escuela de doble inmersión para atender las necesidades de los estudiantes de una manera más eficaz. Esto quiere decir que nuestros estudiantes de kindergarten a 5 grado reciben durante el día el 50% de sus clases en Español y 50% en Inglés. Ahora necesitamos tutores en las aulas de Español, con un énfasis en la alfabetización y una oportunidad de trabajar en todos las materias con los estudiantes. Los tutores ayudarán dentro de las clases en los objetivos de instrucción y aprendizaje.
Debido a la naturaleza de la tutoría, es importante que los voluntarios se comprometan con la escuela y los estudiantes por lo menos 10 semanas, 1 hora por semana (lunes-viernes, 9:55am-4:25pm). Tenemos más turnos disponibles para los voluntarios que les gustaría contribuir más tiempo.

Description
Risen Christ Catholic School serves families who predominately live in poverty and are immigrants. The majority of our students hope to be the first in their family to attend college and break the cycle of poverty. We are located in the Powderhorn Park neighborhood of south Minneapolis and serve grades Kindergarten - 8th.
