Seeking Grant Research Analyst Volunteer/Intern--A Training Opportunity
The Lucas Artists Residency Program at Montalvo
Do you have great web research skills? Would you like to learn how to locate, research and analyze foundation and corporate funding opportunities for non-profits? This is a significant training opportunity at an internationally recognized arts organization.
We are seeking to build our grants research team with a Grants Research Analyst volunteer. Qualified individuals will be trained to evaluate national foundation and corporate grant opportunities using various online research methods, including Foundation Directory Online, federal 990 forms, and foundation websites. Interns will be trained by and work with a skilled grants researcher and will learn valuable skills in foundation research for nonprofit funding and help our organization build its foundation prospect base.
Because Montalvo staff will invest significant time in training, we require a minimum 3-6 month commitment for this position, and at least 10 hours per week (no maximum). Interns can work remotely, from the Lucas Artists Program site in Saratoga, CA, in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, or a combination of both.
This is an unpaid internship, and a significant training opportunity. This position requires excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently. We are prepared to write an excellent letter of recommendation for high-performing interns that have volunteered at least 3 months.
Please send resume, cover letter, and a writing sample to Lori Wood, Lucas Artists Residency Program Manager at Montalvo Center for the Arts at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for your interest.
