PARAMETERS OF INTERNSHIP

The Lucas Artists Residency Program (LAP) at Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga, California seeks an Arts Administration Intern with excellent writing and critical thinking skills to help in all elements of the administration of the Lucas Artists Residency Program. This is a significant training opportunity to learn about arts administration at an internationally-recognized arts program. Intern will learn about the administration of artist contracts using Docusign, how a selection process is run using SlideRoom, and have day-to-day contact with talented writers, visual artists, musicians and composers from around the world. This is an unpaid internship.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a minimum 3-6 month commitment, and a minimum of 10 hours per week. The position requires excellent critical thinking and writing skills, the ability to write creative, professional and error-free text, and the ability to work independently. College credit is available in some cases for interns working 20+ hours per week. We are prepared to write a strong letter of recommendation for high-performing interns who contribute to the program for at least 3 months.
