Do you enjoy talking, inspiring and giving presentations? Can you motivate people to support our work?

If you can talk with passion to any audience (small or large) and would like to help the most vulnerable individuals living in state run institutions in Moldova then you should consider being an advocate for Volunteering Moldova.

We need people like you to make a real difference by increasing awareness of our vital work. You will inspire people to support us and strengthen our ties within your local community, through family, friends, schools, groups and businesses.

Advocating roles are flexible and varied, allowing you to speak at times that suit you. You will lead all aspects of your advocating, from planning through to the speaking events and will need to promote your event effectively to ensure the project is successful.

One of our trustees will be available to offer you advice and support with initial ideas, how to raise awareness through marketing and media, and supply promotional materials: posters, invitations, etc.

Skills we are looking for:
• Excellent communication skills
• Organised
• Reliable
• Motivated and enthusiastic
• Friendly, open and approachable
• Ability or willingness to learn new skills

The role is suitable for any person, no qualifications are needed. No previous experience working with a charity or organisation required. We are looking for individuals who are passionate, don’t mind talking (preferably about our charity) and would like to be part of making our charity a success.

We don’t expect volunteers to have any expenses and would be unable to cover any volunteer expenses.

If you are not in the local area of the Trustees (Bristol, England), we will communicate via Skype, so you will need Skype.

Mission Statement

Making a difference to the lives of people living in state run institutions in Moldova.

Description

Volunteering Moldova is a registered non-profit charity that aims to benefit the lives of vulnerable people living in state run institutions in Moldova. We are able to do this in two ways: volunteering and financial support. We support three state run institutions in Moldova, a children’s orphanage, a institution for disabled boys and men and a small group home. Our volunteer program offers volunteers to work in the institutions and to provide one to one interaction with the residents that they would not otherwise have. Our financial support allows us to purchase basic items that the institutions would otherwise be without, such as medication, nappies, or supplies. The trustees cover the running costs of the charity, to ensure that all donations make a direct difference to the lives of those living in institutions in Moldova. We are looking for volunteers based anywhere in the world to help us have a larger platform and to become better known.
