During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES:
All visitors to the Furniture Bank must bring and wear masks for the duration of their appointment, in accordance with state-issued protocols.
The Philadelphia Furniture Bank is a program of Pathways to Housing PA that provides used furniture to people coming out of homelessness. Personal shoppers help people to select furniture that will be going into their home. Personal Shoppers will meet with clients first to learn their needs, number of family members, and size of the home to ensure a successful shopping experience. Then the Personal shopper will go through the warehouse, help determine which furniture the client wants and is appropriate for their size home and tag it for delivery. Personal Shoppers offer advice but must stick with the guidelines that are determined per family size. Personal shoppers also may coordinate the delivery schedule of items from warehouse to client’s home

Pathways to Housing PA empowers people with disabilities to improve their housing stability, achieve better health, and reclaim their lives.
The Housing First model is simple: provide housing first, and then combine that housing with supportive treatment services in the areas of mental and physical health, substance abuse, education, and employment. Housing is provided in apartments scattered throughout the city of Philadelphia. This "scattered site" model fosters a sense of home and self-determination, and it helps speed the reintegration of Pathways clients into the community. Our goal is for people to become part of the community, and not just live in the community.
We'll work with your schedule.
