Position- Case Management Volunteer
Volunteering is an exciting way to connect with other cultures while providing vital support for refugees that are starting new lives in Texas. Case Management volunteers will learn about the United States Reception and Placement program while receiving the opportunity to directly work with and enhance our local resettlement and integration services.
Duties/Expectations-
Assist case managers with providing services to clients [Coordination of housing, orientation/client education, support with accessing community resources]
Provide transportation for clients to offsite appointments or activities as needed
Assist with case file documentation
Time Commitment- We ask that our volunteers commit to a duration of at least 3 months. Case managers and volunteers should establish a more detailed schedule at their first meeting. Please note that this opportunity is limited to office hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm. All volunteers must also attend a one-time orientation and submit to a background check.
