About

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Board Secretary and the Executive Director in the preparation of materials for meetings of the Board of Directors and Committees.
  • Coordinates and schedules Board meetings and Committee meetings.
  • Records and transcribes minutes for various meetings of the Board of Directors and Committee meetings.
  • Help with maintenance of corporate files and procedures for Committee and Board meetings, handling and processing information of a confidential nature.
  • Assumes appropriate responsibilities and actions on behalf of the Secretary of the Board of Directors in his/her absence.
  • Assists the Secretary in the composition of correspondence pertaining to the Board of Directors.
  • Types correspondence, agendas, reports, minutes, and other materials.
  • Maintains procedures, bylaws, and office policies relating to the Board of Directors.
  • Controls and maintains Board Members' List and Board Members' Profiles.
  • Together with Finance Director and Accountant help with maintenance of all aspects of the Annual Funding including drafting letters of ask, receiving payments, writing thank you letters, and tracking the gifts.
  • Act as back up to the Board Secretary, providing general administrative support as needed.
  • Act as backup when the President/CEO unavailable, providing general administrative support for President's Office as needed
  • Assume additional responsibilities as needed to support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Knowledge, Education, and Experience:
  • A. with a minimum of 2 to 5 years of office experience in a non-profit, government, and business setting.
  • Strong interest in the work and mission of the KINDAH FOUNDATION, INC and the ability to represent the organization externally;
  • Strong ability to plan, organize and follow through with staff, committees, and Board and a variety of constituencies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple responsibilities
  • Very good computer skills, particularly with all Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a group to produce successful results
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
  • Comfortable with the Internet and virtual communication techniques;
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM fundraising software a plus;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and initiative;
  • Must have a college degree in (business, finance, leadership, etc)

Level of Authority:

  • Non-supervisory position
  • No budget authority

Term limit

  • Two-year commitment
Time Commitment

  • 10 -15 hours per month
  • Attend 4 meeting annually (in-person /virtual) (3 regular meeting, 1 Annual General Meeting)
  • Highly encouraged to attend all events
