We are looking for a caring and compassionate volunteer who is able to deliver supplies to our new hospice patients, in the Cache Valley area, when they are admitted. This would most likely be daily deliveries (Mon-Fri), but there may be days when no deliveries are needed. There will be flexibility to do this on your own time as long as deliveries are made within the first day or two. This would be a wonderful opportunity for someone looking to engage and interact with the community.

Mission Statement

Intermountain Homecare takes great pride in its dedication to Intermountain Healthcare's mission of excellence in the provision of health care services to communities in the Intermountain region. We are also guided by the same vision and values, and are pleased to be part of Intermountain Healthcare's entire continuum of care.

Description

Intermountain Homecare understands that hospice is not about dying, it's about living each day as fully as possible. Hospice is a compassionate approach to end-of-life care. The goal of hospice is to help people with serious illness live life fully, maintain their dignity and keep personal control over their lives. Hospice provides palliative care management, which includes: emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families who are facing life-limiting illness in homes, hospitals and nursing homes. Hospice is available to anyone with an illness whose life expectancy is measured in months, rather than years.
