Assist seniors in preparing their federal tax returns in various locations in Williamson Co. You should be comfortable with computers and be willing to attend a Tax Slayer training course in January, 2017. There is an open book quiz. We ask that you devote 4 - 8 hours a week during "tax season" to fulfilling our mission. A milage allowance is reimbursed. Most sites are coviniently located. Every effort will be made to assign you to a site convinient for you.

AARP/TaxAide's mission is to assist seniors in preparing their annual federal and state income tax returns electronically at no cost.
Description
AARP/TaxAide has sites throughout Georgetown and Williamson Co. which are open various hours of the week from February 1st through April 15th. Volunteers, called Counselors, assist clients by preparing electronic tax filings. We are funded by the AARP Foundation, the IRS, and local United Ways. There is no charge to the client. Tax Aide nationally has over 30,000 Counselors and a presence in every state.
