Camp Kesem Princeton

Camp Kesem Princeton is a free camp for children who have a parent affected by cancer. The camp is completely run on the generous donations of various individuals whether it be time, resources, or financial assistance. Camp will be held from Aug 18th- Aug 22nd at Camp Johnsonburg in Johnsonburg, NJ. In order to ensure that our campers are safe during the summer session it is important that we have two nurses on staff during camp. As a nurse, you will be responsible for administering any medication that campers may need in addition to basic first-aid. If this sounds like something that you may be interested in please apply. We cannot do anything without the generous assistance of those willing to give their time, and we are offering a stipend for the job this summer. For more information about our organization please feel free to visit the website campkesem.org/princeton.

About Camp Kesem Princeton

Mission Statement

Kesem means "magic" in Hebrew. The founders of Camp Kesem chose Kesem because their goal was to bring magic to families coping with cancer. More recently, we’ve developed a more detailed definition of what Kesem means to us. Kesem (n.): magic; the ability to change a life; an agent of growth; the unique power that transforms kids into Camp Kesem Campers

Description

Camp Kesem is a network of college student run summer camps and social circles for kids with a parent who has (or has had) cancer. The one-week sleep away camps are a chance for kids ages 6-16 to have a fun- and activity-filled week and just be kids. Everything we do at Camp Kesem focuses on our goal of giving campers the most fun week possible, while providing the extra support and attention that they need.
