Adult computer literacy teachers work part-time as volunteer to teach community members how to use computers. They work flexible hours in the morning, evenings and weekends to accommodate students with unsteady needs. Instruction typically consists of an introduction to keyboarding, the Internet, e-mail and common software, such as Microsoft packages.
- Experience in Instructional Computer literacy and Applications.
- Conduct activities enriched with all aspects of Computer literacy and Application
- Ability to work with adults from a variety of educational and cultural backgrounds
- Patience and flexibility when teaching
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication methods to ensure that students understand what is being taught and feel comfortable asking questions
- Bilingual abilities may be required in communities with large immigrant populations

Description
Christ Disciples International Ministries Inc., (CDIM) is a 501 (C) (3) faith-based organization. Our services are open to everyone regardless of religion, sexual orientation or national origin. We are located within the 16th Congressional District of New York City, the neediest district in the nation, (with 42.2% of its residents below the poverty line). We serve residents of the Bronx. Our social service programs are: community health and wellness project, Food services, immigrant and citizenship services, School Dropout and Truancy Prevention, After-school Literacy and Recreation Programs, Elder Abuse/Crime Prevention Outreach, Seniors Computer Literacy Program, including Inter-generational Program. We offer well above 98000 units of free program services monthly to the community without discrimination based on religion or sexual orientation, nationality or race.
