About

Redemptive Work is looking for a Communications Intern to build our brand, manage and write copy for our website, social media, and grant applications. As a growing company and a small non-profit working with displaced, disabled, formerly incarcerated, or other socially outcast persons to create sustainable living situations, we need help building our brand.

RW’s Communications Intern updates our website, grows our social media presence, and attends team meetings to write mission statements and narratives for grant applications and policy manuals. The Communications Intern understands effective social media strategy and audience engagement and will use these skills to manage our Google Suites, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. They will manage content creation for the website, and ensure that information is both up to date and engaging. The ideal candidate will have experience with these social media platforms (personal or otherwise), be a strong and engaging writer, and will have a passion for social and economic justice. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in copywriting, web design, marketing, grant-writing, and non-profit operations. Interns will receive training on grant-writing and social services. To serve our organization best, we ask that our Communications Interns commit to approximately 7 hours a week for a minimum of 6 months.

This opportunity is excellent for those studying or interested in communications, social media, English/writing, advertising, and marketing, or social work.
