We would like to announce an exciting opportunity to become a part-time volunteer in your very own local state park as a Beach Gate Attendant. Beach Gate Attendants are the primary greeters to all park guests entering Hugh Taylor Birch State Park's A1A Beach Gate Pedestrian Walk. Attendants tender money through a park cash box. Beach Gate Attendants make ensure that visitors to the park are paying their pedestrian entrance fee to the park, assist with oversight and safety of the entire park, serve as primary informational contacts for park guests and show a friendly and professional face of the Florida Park Service as people enter the park for the first time off of A1A Blvd. Beach Gate Attendants do exactly what Park Rangers do and are trained for this important logistical and informational position. Meet many new people and know that you are assisting in the dynamic operations of the very unique Hugh Taylor Birch State Park. 4-8 hours per week recommended.
