The VITA program offers free tax help to people with low-to-moderate income, senior citizens, persons with disabilities and others who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. Taxpayers can get one-on-one help from IRS-certified volunteers who prepare their taxes for them. Volunteers are needed for the site in Warrenton, VA during the tax filing season.

Helping in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program can be rewarding while serving a vital role in your local community. As a Tax Preparer, you will help those in need with the preparation of their taxes for filing. You will be trained to successfully certify to prepare taxes and use electronic filing software.

Training will be given and group meetings held until you are comfortable with your role as preparer.
