Crisis Workers provide crisis and suicide intervention as well as information and referrals 24 hours a day. LCS answers hundreds of calls each day from people of all ages who are struggling with grief, depression, relationships, work, children, parents, addiction, sexual issues, gambling, psychiatric illness, abuse, AIDS, health, money, shelter, suicidal thoughts and other life struggles.

Part of the training will include ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training). ASIST is a 2-day intensive, interactive, and practice-dominated course designed to help caregivers recognize and review risk, and intervene to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. It is by far the most widely used, acclaimed and researched suicide intervention training workshop in the world.

Founded in 1966, Life Crisis is one of the nation's oldest hotlines.LCS was one of the first hotlines in the country to be certified for five years by the American Association of Suicidology.

LCS answers over 100 calls each day from people of all ages who are struggling with suicide, grief, depression, relationships, work, children, parents, alcohol, drugs, sexual issues, sexual identity, gambling, anger, abuse, AIDS, health, money, shelter and other life struggles .
