Sitting at the crossroads of Rts. 61 & 81, Frackville has a rich history in Schuylkill County. To preserve that history, a group of dedicated Frackville citizens, headed by Lorraine Stanton, is diligently working to garner historically significant donations, display them in the 'old high school' and make these displays accessible to the public.
If you love history and think it's important to preserve it, this is an opportunity for you. Volunteer Positions available include community outreach, assistant curator, someone to do light cleaning, display assistant, speaker coordinator, and resource development.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY!
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over twenty hours per week, serving through schools, day care centers, hospitals, environmental and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
