Vision Literacy seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist marketing and communications efforts. We’re looking for creative individuals with marketing and social media skills to build awareness and support for adult literacy in local communities. You should have good communication skills, be super organized and feel comfortable working quickly and independently.
Responsibilities:
Develop content for promotional materials including direct mail pieces, print and electronic newsletters and other materials as needed.
Assist in planning, writing and managing monthly eNewsletter.
Designing flyers, graphics, e-vites and other marketing material for events.
Provide support in sending mailings and invitations.
Update the Vision Literacy website when needed.
Qualifications:
Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications is a plus.
Proficient using Microsoft office. Knowledge of HTML and graphic design a plus.
Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task.
Experience in selecting appropriate materials for social media platforms such as Linkedin, Facebook and Twitter is required.
Compensation:
This is a volunteer position. We encourage you to use this opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing and non-profit sector. The internship position is located in Milpitas, CA. However, the intern may also work from home.
