Do you have a dog that is just the most gentle and sweet thing there is? Did you know that Fairview Lakes Medical Center has volunteer opportunities for you to bring your certified pet therapy dog in to visit patients? Our pet visitor teams consist of one certified pet therapy dog and one human handler (you must own the dog). The team travels to many departments within the hospital to visit with patients, and families. The pet must be up to date on immunizations and yearly physical exams. Documentation that the pet is certified by a nationally recognized pet therapy association must be submitted to the volunteer office prior to training.
