Do you like to be around people who share your love of animals? Do you want to do meaningful work in a office environment with like-minded people? We are looking for one or two sharp volunteers to work with our administrative support team.
If you can bring your aptitude for spreadsheet and database updates, written and phone correspondence, filing, organizing, and other like tasks to In Defense of Animals, then we need you to become an integral part of our efforts to be a voice for the voiceless. This position is located in our headquarters in San Rafael, California, and we ask for a minimum weekly commitment of two hours.
~a genuine interest in animals and veganism
~clear, personable phone and written communication
~comfort and experience with general office tasks and routines
~knowledge of Windows: Word, Excel
~familiarity with databases in general
~ability to navigate the internet for specific statistics or information
~the flexibility to move through a variety of clerical support projects
In Defense of Animals is a 501(3)(c) international non-profit organization Founded in 1983 by Dr. Elliot Katz, DVM, and dedicated to protecting the rights, welfare, and habitats of animals and by raising the status of animals beyond that of mere property.
