The Ronald McDonald House Charities Bangor House is a "home away from home" for families whose children are hospitalized or receiving treatment locally. RMHC offers a warm, safe place for families to stay with all the accommodations of home. Guest families have access to private rooms as well as a living room, full kitchen, laundry room, library and playground.

RMH is seeking compassionate individuals to help keep this "Home Away From Home" running strong. Volunteers assist with answering phones and covering the front desk, checking new families in to the house, and being a resource for families with questions. Volunteers help support our guest families by offering a listening ear and words of encouragement. Volunteers assist with day to day operations based on daily needs and volunteer preferences. Daily needs include cleaning common areas throughout the House. Such tasks may include vacuuming, laundry, disinfecting, restocking supplies, organizing, etc.

If you're interested in helping to keep families close while their child receives treatment, we would love to hear from you!

COVID-19 protocols are in place including specific cleaning protocols, daily wellness checks, social distancing measures, limited capacity for families, staff and volunteers, personal protective supplies such as gloves and masks are provided.
