Ronald McDonald House Charities provides a "home away from home" for families of pediatric patients. Volunteers make a difference in the lives of the families that come through our doors by hosting, by listening, and by simply being there.
Responsibilities include assisting families checking in or out of the house, household cleaning and upkeep, answeing phones and front desk coverage, and preparing guest rooms for new families.
Weekend Coverage Volunteers manage all basic aspects of daily operations. Volunteers may cover full days and overnight shifts, or shorter daytime shifts (i.e., a few hours at a time). Overnight volunteers have a private room and bathroom. Overnight shifts include sleep time, although volunteers respond to emergencies that arise throughout the day and night. Volunteers choose which shifts they cover, and whether they are able to cover a few hours, a whole day, or an overnight shift. This is a great opportunity for families to volunteer together!
Orientation and training are provided. An RMHC staff member is always available on-call for emergencies.

Ronald McDonald House Charities, a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation, creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. Its grassroots-driven programs offer help where children need it most - right in their own communities. RMHC makes an immediate, positive impact on children's lives through its global network of local Chapters in 52 countries and regions and its three core programs: the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. These programs provide a bridge to accessible health care and allow families more time together, which helps in the healing process. RMHC and its global network of local Chapters also have hundreds of millions of dollars in grants and program services to children's programs around the world.
