ORGANIZATION: Coalition to Abolish Slavery & Trafficking (CAST)

The Volunteer Hotline Advocate serves as a front line responder, through CAST's 24hr Hotline, to victims of human trafficking who may need services as well as to community members who have questions or wish to report suspected human trafficking. This position fills a critical liaison function between the community and CAST, and as such, must be aligned with the CAST vision and mission of providing outstanding services in a user-friendly fashion. Volunteers are required to attend 24 hours of training and will take calls on-site at CAST's office or shelter.

Description

The Coalition to Abolish Slavery & Trafficking (CAST), established in 1998, has been a pioneer in the anti-trafficking movement in the United States and works exclusively with trafficked persons. All CAST programs address trafficking through a human rights framework focused on justice, dignity and the empowerment of trafficked persons.
