The performing arts industry is good for education and tourism.

A live performance offers the social interactions we all yearn for. Contemporary Ballet offers beauty and stories about real people from all walks of life. It’s a chance to be included and inspired.

We are creating a pro modern ballet company (ultimately, only 16 dancers). Excellent ballet where audiences can engage personally with artists and gain a deeper understanding of their work. We can't wait to partner with other arts groups (like live musicians), businesses, and individuals but we need to get out of the "start-up" stage.

Do you have management skills, financial skills, networking skills? This is an opportunity to take the reins as part of an ensemble! Join our board members!

Requirements:

-Regular Board Meetings, Quarterly;

-Have internet access for email & video chat (on Skype).

-You can be anywhere in Hawaii, any island. Be willing to meet other board members in your area or via internet. Currently, one board member is on Maui and one in Honolulu.

-Attention to detail (to fulfill your fiduciary responsibility);

-Let your light shine! We are getting off the ground. Have an interest in creating, building, designing. There is room for both detail-oriented left brain thinkers and creative right brain dreamers.

- Follow through/up, do what you say you will do, communicate! Self motivation to get tasks done;

- Fundraise, you won't be alone. We are building to be a viable organization. As a board member you need to be an advocate for the organization and participate in fundraising.
