English Teaching
Location : Pithoragarh, Champawat, Dehradun
The volunteers will teach English in Primary Schools in rural areas and organize various enjoyable and creative activities for the children to sharpen their talents and increase their knowledge.
The volunteers work continuously to explore the hidden talents in the children and to promote them. The volunteers might find that they learn as much as from them as the children will learn from the volunteers.
The volunteers will assist in a wide variety of chosen subjects and activities, including English, Mathematics, Arts and Sports. Since volunteer activities are organized in Government Schools where acute shortage of teachers exists, the volunteers are therefore expected to focus mainly on the syllabus being taught in the Schools.
Volunteer work activitiesVolunteers will teach the children English covering to their current syllabus. In addition you can teach Alphabets, Counting, Days of weeks, Months of year, Manners, Writing practice etc.
Project requirementsDuration - The minimum required time for English Teaching program is one week.
Age limit - Minimum required age is 18 and maximum age depends on participant's health.
Qualification - High School, basic English communication & Teaching skills.
Visa type - Your trips fall under the category of volunteer tourism and you will need to obtain tourist visa to India.
