Each year, the Symphony Orchestra of Northern Virginia (SONOVA) hosts a Gala and Silent Auction as a major fundraising event for its performing year. In addition to the auction, there is also a reception that accompanies the performance. Because of the fundraising nature of the event, the goal is traditionally to have as many items for the auction and reception donated as possible. As a result, we are looking for energetic individuals to help with the securing of these donations as part of our Gala committee. Specific duties include:

- Contact former donors to request a repeat donation

- Reach out to new potential donors

- Coordinate with Food and Auction Donation chairs regarding progress

- Help coordinate delivery of items to George Washington National Masonic Memorial

- If available, help set up items for display at Gala on April 8

As with SONOVA’s other volunteer positions, serving in this capacity will allow the volunteers to attend SONOVA performances for free.
