ORGANIZATION: Cedar Rapids Museum of Art

As an information desk volunteer, you will represent the Museum and interact and greet visitors to the Museum. Responsibilities include admission sales using our Point of Sale system, answering guest questions, answering telephones and stocking and organizing brochures. You will help track visitor requests, questions, and comments to aid the Department of Visitor Services. The information desk volunteer maintains a thorough knowledge of exhibitions, education programs, and other public offerings available at CRMA. Positions are available at both the Museum and the Grant Wood Studio.

Required Skills
Excellent communication and problem solving skills, a friendly and welcoming attitude, and able to work well with others. Be comfortable interacting with visitors of all ages and have the ability to be proactive with seeking out visitor contact. Use a variety of information resources to learn about Museum activities.

Schedule/Time Requirements
Daily, year-round. Closed Monday, holidays. Shift: four hours
