Children’s Holiday Movie, presented by Anthem Blue Cross, raises $180,000 for our pediatric programs to ensure that our youngest patients have access to all of the services necessary to keep families and children healthy. As a part of this event, we also create a special holiday celebration for 1,200 pediatric patients and their families. They will enjoy a private screening of Disney/Pixar’s upcoming feature film Coco, holiday entertainment and gift bags with books and toys. The theater, entertainment and toys for the event are all underwritten, so 100% of donations go to supporting Venice Family Clinic pediatrics.

Personal calls are made by volunteers to spread the word about our largest campaign for Venice Family Clinic’s Pediatrics Program. Together, we will work together to raise more than $180,000 to directly fund services to infants, children and teens. Our year-end phone campaign is an important revenue stream as volunteers will be able to engage directly with our networks and gain valuable experience in community engagement and donor engagement.

Mission Statement
To improve the health of people and communities through accessible, quality care.
Description
Over the past 50 years, Venice Family Clinic’s mission of providing quality primary health care to people in need hasn’t changed, but its scope has broadened dramatically. Today, the Clinic has about 400 staff members and more than 1,300 volunteers who serve 28,000 patients, without regard for their ability to pay or immigration status. Its programs have expanded beyond primary medical care to include dental, vision, behavioral health, exercise classes, health education, early childhood development - and street medicine for people experiencing homelessness, to ensure even the most vulnerable of its neighbors get the medical care they deserve.
Our Volunteer Services Department strives to recruit and connect the best volunteers possible with almost every department within the clinic. We work to provide support to the volunteers as well as the clinic teams whom they help. Every year, we work with over 1400 volunteers, including approximately 500 provider volunteers. Our department helps with recruiting, training, scheduling, and general upkeep of all volunteers.
