About

The City Tutors is seeking an individual who will support the communications unit of The City Tutors. The individual in this role will

  1. promote The City Tutors brand, allowing us to reach more prospective tutors and partners
  2. profile current and past City Tutors to help build stronger ties between tutors
  3. develop original content that grows our social media audience
  4. educate on and promote issues that we are tackling through our programs
We welcome application from individuals out of state who are interested in writing articles on education that closely tie to educational policy conversations we are engaged with. Those include, (but are not limited to):
  1. academic support's role in higher education
  2. academic resources at the university level needed by students to effectively transition between high school and college
  3. value of experiential opportunities during college
  4. value of volunteering while in college
  5. the current challenges faced by academic support on the higher ed level
The articles will be featured on our website, all of our social media accounts, and will be submitted for publication in other non-City Tutors controlled media.
