A Big Pal is a positive role model and mentor who provides support, guidance, friendship, and understanding to a child. A Big Pal must be over 17, have a driver's license, and have a couple hours a week to spend with a child for at least one year. They must be of willing to invest some of their time and interests in a child. They can be individuals or married couples working together. A Big Pal must be of good character, willing to provide a suitable role model, and give guidance and friendship to a child.

The Big Pals~Little Pals of Greater Columbus' mission is to provide a positive adult role model for children that will ideally build a relationship that will promote self-confidence, positive relationships with others, and productive citizsenship.
Description
Big Pals~Little Pals is a mentoring program that matches adult volunteers with children ages 6-16 from single parent homes in order to provide them with an adult friend and role model.
