The Fulfillment Fund works to make college a reality for students in economically and educationally under-resourced communities.
Destination College is the Fulfillment Fund's 20th annual event that provies high school students with a multi-faceted view of what to expect at college and how to prepare to get there. This inspirational event includes workshops, motivational speakers, a campus tour, and a huge college fair featuring more than 75 colleges from around the country!
The Fulfillment Fund is looking for volunteers who are friendly, energetic, positive, and are comfortable interacting with high school students to make Destination College a success!
Volunteering at Destination College:
Event Logistics: Morning
Shift: 7am-11am
Roles: Setting up, directing foot traffic, welcoming visitors, registration, ushering students for opening program, liaison to presenters, workshop chaperones.
Event Logistics: All Day
Shift: 7am-3pm
Roles: College fair check-in, college representatives liaison, lunch logistics, water/ drinks distribution, afternoon workshops for parents, student guides.
Chaperone
Shift: 8:30am-12pm
Roles: Chaperones will get a first hand look at what our students, parents, and mentors experience when coming to Destination College. Chaperones will help event flow by chaperoning groups to their workshop locations as well as attending the various workshops to support the facilitators. Familiarity with UCLA campus is helpful but not a requirement.

The Fulfillment Fund is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making college a reality for students growing up in educationally and economically under-resourced communities. Through classroom instruction, college counseling, mentoring and scholarships, the Fulfillment Fund builds relationships, illuminates opportunities and changes lives.
Whereas only 5 in 10 students in low-income communities who graduate high school go on to college, more than 9 in 10 Fulfillment Fund high school graduates do. And whereas nationally, only 1 in 10 first-generation students from low-income communities who go to college go on to earn a bachelor’s degree, 6 in 10 Fulfillment Fund scholars do.
