Volunteers

Help others by contributing to your community and have a heaping amount of fun! Volunteers play a crucial role in the success of the Festival. Fun, four-hour shifts are available and volunteers receive a free Festival Tshirt!

The Port of Hueneme is again hosting the "Banana Festival at the Port" and is inviting the community to celebrate with us! This festival is free to the community, the port is open to the public to explore, and learn. We have different volunteer opportunities, from managing the Port Tour registrations, to checking in vendors. Checkout our volunteer application and read more about the different opportunities.

The Port of Hueneme, one of California’s busiest seaports for general cargo, handles over $9 billion in cargo value annually and is among the top U.S. ports for automobiles and fresh produce. The Oxnard Harbor District began over 75 years ago with a mission to provide California’s central coast agricultural community with an ocean link to the global market. Today, the Port handles bananas and tropical fruit as well as additional cargos.

You are just one step away from joining the volunteer team, apply now.
