Volunteers needed to help at our two preschools for children with special needs in Pompano Beach and/or Dania Beach. The preschool serves children between the ages of 2-5. Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 & 3:00 pm to help preschool staff in organizing, supervising and implementing the preschool program. Volunteers will work directly with the children in the classroom and assist with all activities including reading, math, art and music. All volunteers must be over the age of 16, undergo a Level 2 background screening at their own expense and have a Certificate of Good Health signed by a medical professional. Interview & Orientation Required. Ideal for a retired teacher

Since 1971, Broward Children's Center has provided quality programs to infants, children, and young adults with special health care needs. The Center provides a wide range of direct care, support, and quality of life advocacy services for these children and their families. Our services include: Preschools for typically developing and special needs children, Education for children who are medically complex, Rehabilitation, Medical Transportation; Licensed home health care; In-home and facility based respite care; Before & After School Programs; Physical, occupational, and speech and language therapy; Counseling, Pediatric Extended care, Group Homes, and Diaphragmatic Pacing System Implementation and Rehabilitation
