We need friendly, energetic volunteers to help make the Be The Match Gala & Bash a success! Set-up volunteers will spend Saturday, September 28th, at The Depot in Minneapolis helping to prepare the space for the evening event.
This can be a fun group activity if you have family, friends, or colleagues that would like to join you in volunteering.
Volunteers are provided lunch and validated parking. Volunteers help in a variety of ways, such as:
- Arranging swag bags for guest check-out
- Assisting with event decor and displays
- Distributing table tents and programs in the ballroom
- Preparing and organizing name tags for guest registration
Please note: Most of these tasks involve some lifting and being on your feet for a few hours.

Event Description:
The Be The Match Gala, in its twelfth year, is our signature fundraising event. The evening features an inspirational program, dinner, and silent and live auctions. Immediately following, guests can enjoy live entertainment and dancing at the Be The Match Bash.
This evening of celebration allows guests to support ground-breaking initiatives that will re-imagine the donor experience and transform the future for all patients in need.

For the thousands of people diagnosed every year with life-threatening blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, a cure exists. Over the past thirty years Be The Match, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), has managed the largest and most diverse marrow registry in the world. We work every day to save lives through transplant.

When you volunteer with NMDP, you are helping blood cancer and blood disease patients get their cure - a blood stem cell transplant from a matching donor. As a volunteer, you can truly impact the lives of patients and their families. Last year, volunteers gave nearly 125,000 hours of their time. This commitment is vital to the life-saving work at NMDP.
