Provides technical assistance to support the STEM tech lab, computer lab, learning lab, and field learning activities. Assist students and adults in the proper use of computers, software, peripherals and safe and appropriate use of the Internet.
Set up educational equipment and provide presentation and demonstration support. Assemble, operate or willingness to learn the use of equipment, tools and tech kits used in the labs and classrooms. [Examples: model rocketry, Lego Mindstorm, robotics kits, quadcopters, Tinkercad CAD software, 3D printers, website design, solar energy projects, Electrathon car design for racing; computer coding, science and technology kits, etc.].
Assist with research on technical learning systems and curriculums for purchase and evaluation. Help catalog software, photos, videos, books, and other media. Share responsibility for maintenance of lab equipment, procedures, databases, supply inventory systems and property management.
Inspire underrepresented youth to learn technical skills through hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math - called STEM. Join us soon to help the youth learn about model rockets, robots, computer code, 3D printers, quadcopters and support the FIRST Lego League and VEX Robotics competitions. Let's make it happen.
Encourage disadvantaged youth to engage in action-packed STEM programs and activities as a hands-on learning experience, and alternative to criminal activities doing unsupervised after school hours.
