Mission Statement

Our mission at Compassionate Care Hospice is to affirm life during its final stages by providing holistic compassionate care to patients and their families; by providing access to hospice care for underserved or difficult to serve populations; by wise and efficient use of available sources, and by educating the community.

Description

Compassionate Care Hospice provides specialized care and support for patients and their families. Volunteers are an integral part of this program. There are many ways that Compassionate Care Hospice volunteers can contribute:

  • Support for patients
  • Support for famiy
  • Support for Staff
  • Bereavement support
  • Professional Support

Many hospice volunteers find it personally gratifying to assist those in need at a critical point in their lives. Volunteers offer companionship to patients and their families and often become a source of strength and support. Compassionate Care Hospice volunteers will tell you that helping those with a limited life expectancy and their families is not about dying but about living.

We provide a training program specific to hospice volunteering.
