Grooming Volunteer

At Working Wardrobes, we do everything in our power to help men, women, young adults and veterans overcome difficult challenges, so they can achieve the dignity of work.

Our clients are workforce ready by participating in career training, job placement assistance and professional wardrobe services in an environment of dignity and respect.

Transform lives as a salon volunteer at the Men's and Women's Career Success Event on Sunday, May 21st, 2017.

On this day, 100 men and women from local recovery programs and transitional housing facilities will experience a metamorphic day of motivational and goal setting seminars, personal grooming services (hair, makeup, massages, etc.) and professional wardrobe selection. Our Career Success Event provides our clients with complimentary services will instill new skills and boost self-esteem for our deserving clients. Our ultimate goal is to hear the words, "I got the job!"

We are especially in need of trained barbers, hairstylists and makeup artists to help complete their transformation. We ask that you please:

  • Bring your own supplies (ex: scissors, smock, etc.) Working Wardrobes will provide stations and mirrors.
  • We do not have the facilities to wash hair so all clients are instructed to come with clean, un-styled hair.
  • 6 hour commitment required, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

48 hour notice of cancellation required - but we hope you will honor your commitment as our clients all anticipate receiving these wonderful services.
