APAA is seeking a Web Designer with expertise with Squarespace and related Squarespace products to assist with a multi-media project.

We are a small organization, so you will be working directly with our Associate Director. You will be responsible for implementing new features in existing Squarespace installations as well as developing new pages from scratch.

The Web Designer will:

  • Own his/her own computer and software applications.
  • Provide design direction for an interior page (4 pages total) for a website.
  • Use wireframes and creative direction provided to ensure the site is on brief, on brand, and designed well.
  • Design for responsive websites

Below are the qualifications expected:

  • 7+ Years of web design experience
  • Write Squarespace code by using Squarespace APIs
  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using web development best practices and functionality
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
  • Create and maintain software documentation
  • Are plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with nonprofit organizations with a sophisticated aesthetic
  • Ability to take an existing creative direction and evolve it for a website
  • Must be able to design in Photoshop
  • Able to work with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD, and other graphics applications.
  • Ability to work independently with some oversight

Description

To provide APAA members with recovery support services and a tailored recovery plan within a safe and nuturing environment

To collaborate with community entities to facilitate access to resources for APAA members; and to help members establish a strong support system to reduce the risk of relapse

To educate the community about addiction/mental health, long-term recovery and to increase awareness of APAA in efforts to minimize the stigma and discrimination associated with addiction and mental health recovery.
