The homes of many of the elderly living in our neighborhood are always in need of repair. Can you fix a screen, maybe change a door handle? There are always "things" to do when you are a homeowner!
If you are handy with basic tools and enjoy projects, this is a great opportunity for you. Currently we have a neighbor that needs help with gutters and would like a faucet changed.
Turn a simple project into a maintenance accomplishment. Your talents are treasures to elderly neighbors. You are sure to be appreciated!

Mission Statement
The mission of the NORTH END-SOUTH COMO BLOCK NURSE PROGRAM is to maintain levels of independence for our neighborhood seniors through the collaborative efforts of volunteers, professional staff and contracted in-home nursing services. Proudly helping neighborhood seniors since 1987
Description
We are a non-profit community based home-care agency supported by grants, city, county and state funding, and the generous donations of our neighbors.
It is our goal to have a volunteer readily available whenever a senior or their family member calls for help!
By bringing together volunteers and older people, we can serve as a bridge to building stronger communities, the same commuinities they helped to build. Stronger communities can in turn better meet the needs and develop the strengths of people living there now and in the future.
