Youth Sports Coach-

Caring adults wanted to coach youth (ages 3- 17 ) in Soccer, Flag Football, Basketball and Baseball.

Some experience in the sport being coached and a general understanding of children's developmental abilities is preferred, but being a positive role model is required.

Coaches will "teach" youth about the sport and teamwork.

Coaches will maintain positive communication with team parents and the YMCA by email, telephone and face to face as needed to ensure every child has a great youth sports experience.

Coaches will be availble throughout the season they commit to.

The length of the opportunity will vary depending on the sport being coached. Seasons last between 5- 11 weeks. Depending on the age of youth participants, coaches may have a team practice one day and a game on another day each week during the season. Games are primarily scheduled to be played on the Saturdays, but may be scheduled on Sunday or during the week if reschedules are needed. (Please note: Flag Football games are primarily scheduled for Sunday afternoons)

Volunteers may coach more than one sport if interested, upon completeion of the initial season.

All volunteers must complete a criminal background check. Background checks are completed every year.
