Pain and symptom management is the essence of hospice care. This volunteer position has been created to ensure that home patients have adequate supplies and medicine to manage their care throughout the weekend. To this end, Tuck-in Call Volunteers contact family members and caregivers of our patients on a weekly basis in our administrative office, providing a listening ear and additional emotional support for those on the hospice journey receiving care. Training for this opportunity is provided, including the development of a phone contact script and enhancement of one's listening skills.
