Safe Haven is looking for kind, able-bodied volunteers who want to make a meaningful contribution to their communities by helping a neighbor in need move their belongings. As a Volunteer Mover you would help our clients move from shelter life to their own safe space by providing transportation and assisting clients with moving boxes and furniture. There would also be occasional opportunities to assist with donation transportation by picking up donations of furniture and bringing them to our facility or our clients. Safe Haven does have a mini-van for moving purposes, but if you have a truck that you would be willing to bring with you, that would be greatly appreciated. This is a great opportunity for individuals (and sometimes groups) who could be available on a needs-basis.

Description
Safe Haven Ministries seeks to empower women and children as they deal with domestic abuse in their lives. We provide residential and non-residential services to abused women and their children. These services include, but are not limited to: shelter, support groups, individual counseling, case management, and legal advocacy.
