General Description

200 Orphanages Worldwide’s primary goal is to help provide safety, shelter and sustainability for orphans around the world. We work hard at communicating with donors and supporters and need you to help us stay on task! Our Volunteer assistant will help organize and update our partner projects, write thank you notes and hand address personal correspondence. This is key to our success.

Our past successes include funding 50 projects in 16 countries for 17 partners. We've funded more than $900,000 in projects since we started 10 years ago. Projects include clean water wells, security walls, remodeling and repairs, libraries, latrines, outdoor kitchens as well as building dormitories, funding school buses, tractors, livestock shelters, irrigation and greenhouses.

Expanding our donor base as well as communicating our successes with partners, supporters and volunteers is vital to the continued success of the organization.

We actively seek corporate and individual donor relationships as as well as volunteers to host fund raisers for a variety of projects. The main purpose of the Volunteer Assistant is to help the Project Manager administer the day to day tasks.

1. Assist the Project Manager with
   
   1. Communication with partners
   2. Communication with donors
   3. Communication with volunteers
   4. Communication with board
2. Coordination of effective, periodic communications on project progress
3. Keep accurate notes of meetings, and schedule meetings and activities
4. Update Mailing/Emailing List as needed

Desired Qualifications:

1. Detail oriented
2. Excellent penmanship/grammar/spelling
3. Scheduling/calendar experience
4. Database management
5. Excellent Written Communication Skills
6. Ability to use social networking tools, Facebook, twitter, Linked in
7. Positive Attitude/Ability and willingness to multitask
8. Possess honesty and personal integrity.
