House Warmer Volunteers help create a welcoming home away from home by assisting with day to day tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the community spaces
- Restocking supplies and assisting with receiving in-kind donations
- Aid in room turnover process by cleaning and preparing overnight rooms for new families
- Assisting with other basic housekeeping functions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Self-starter
- Ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills - with staff, families, other volunteers, and donors
*All other necessary training will be provided!

Mission Statement
We, in partnership with our community, provide a comfortable and caring home-away-from-home that supports keeping families together and reduces stress during a child’s serious illness.
Description
We provide a warm and welcoming community of support and respite for families with seriously-ill or injured children. Across our five locations, we welcome 76 families each night for overnight services, as well as hundreds of day-visitors. Services include:
- Lodging
- Meals
- Kitchen access and fully-stocked pantries
- Laundry facilities
- An accredited K-12 school
- Workout facilities
- Supportive, family-focused programming
We take care of all these things so families can focus on the well-being of their child.
