About

Are you someone with compassion and a passion to save and improve the lives of special needs animals?

Do you have the guts to boldly reach out to people (known and unknown) to ask them to do their part to make life better for animals with special needs, including older animals, often with no other health problems?

There are options available now to reach contributors that were not around even a few years ago. Crowd funding is one of those - and it works if you have contacts. We need contacts - and people to initiate those contacts.

Community organizing, a proven method of fund raising used by the current president and at least one of the presidential hopefuls, is another way to reach more people and enable them to give what they can. Again, we need contacts.

I will be honest - as a new organization with only a few volunteers, we need help getting seed money to take care of the animals we have now. We also need a track record of raising and managing money so we can apply grants and ask for larger amounts of money. Donors and grant makers want to see that you have people backing you, and that you can manage the funds you have on hand.

We are partnering with a non-profit fiscal sponsor, The Social Good Fund, to handle the financial end of things. This enables us to focus on our work, part of which is raising money.

The animals (and I) need you to make this happen. Our goals for this year are modest - $5,000 to pay for the care of the animals we have now. Once that goal is reached, we can take in more animals, and the cycle continues.
