PLACEMENT PURPOSE
The Home Fire Preparedness Campaign is an initiative to reduce the number of deaths and injuries caused by home fires by 25 in five years. Volunteers work in teams to educate residents and install smoke detectors in homes without them.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Canvassing and installation events are scheduoled regularly throughout the region. ļ½ Canvassing is often done on weekdays, while the education and installation events are usually held on weekends. Shifts are 4-6 hours and refreshment are provided.
REQUIRED TRAINING- Orientation to the American Red Cross
- Additional training will be provided.
