Art Cart Facilitator- Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare art cart or tote with all materials needed
  • Push art cart or carry tote to patient bedsides, visitor waiting areas, and/or nursing units
  • Engage patients/visitors/staff in an art activity appropriate to their needs
  • Most importantly, have fun!
Art Cart is offered daily from 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM, excluding patient meal times.

Art for Healing offers members of the community opportunities to experience the healing benefits of art-making and creative expresiion in the Art & Spirituality Center.

Description

Art for Healing provides opportunities for art-making, laughter, writing, music and other creative experiences free of charge. It is our hope that each participant may become practiced in the skills of letting go, living in the moment, artful reflection and relaxation. All programs are led by experienced facilitators and they are for persons 18 and older, unless otherwise noted, who are seeking a respite from stress or healthcare concerns.

  • Each volunteer is asked to serve a minimum of 2 hours per week; however, a minimum of 4 hours per week is preferred.
