Open Studio Host - Key responsibilities:

  • Greet, check in and screen participants
  • Obtain contact information from new participants
  • Discuss what type of creative activity they are interested in
  • Set up materials/supplies and maintain as needed throughout workshop
  • Clean up at workshop conclusion
  • Remain attentive to the needs of participants and assist in any way practicable
  • Most importantly, have fun!

Open Studio is offered weekly on Wednesdays from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM and Fridays from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.

Art for Healing offers members of the community opportunities to experience the healing benefits of art-making and creative expresiion in the Art & Spirituality Center.

Description

Art for Healing provides opportunities for art-making, laughter, writing, music and other creative experiences free of charge. It is our hope that each participant may become practiced in the skills of letting go, living in the moment, artful reflection and relaxation. All programs are led by experienced facilitators and they are for persons 18 and older, unless otherwise noted, who are seeking a respite from stress or healthcare concerns.

  • Each volunteer is asked to serve a minimum of 2 hours per week; however, a minimum of 4 hours per week is preferred.
