Wish Granter - Wish granters are trained individuals who meet with our children to determine their wish. These volunteers work closely with the Make-A-Wish staff to make each wish come true. Most wish granters meet with their families in the evenings or on the weekends. Wishes can be granted in just several days, or may take up to a year to complete. A specialized training program is provided before contact is made with a wish family.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas grants the wish of children with critical illnesses.
Description
Our goal is to be a unique part of the treatment process. With doctors providing the medicine, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation supplying the magic, we strive to create miracles in the lives of some very special children.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas is part of the nation's largest and most well-established wish-granting organization, with chapters and volunteers throughout the U.S. and abroad. We draw on that strength, as well as our vast local network, to make a child's dream a vivid and memorable reality. Every fulfilled wish represents a unique collaboration between wish families, medical professionals, volunteers and donors. The Make-A-Wish Foundation provides the structure, but it is the child's request that determines what we will do.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas covers 161 counties. With the increase in public awareness, we are granting more and more wishes in our outlying areas. .
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt not for profit corporation.
