Wheels for Humanity is seeking volunteers to help with our annual event Wheels in Motion, taking place on Saturday, September 29th at The Skirball Cultural Center.
Wheels in Motion is our annual signature fundraising event that celebrates the people we serve around the world while bringing together our friends and supporters to share our successes. It is a fun filled evening with music, food, dancing and a stellar auction.
We need volunteers to help us with set up and tear down, registration, cashiering, auction, and general event support.
There are two shifts (we are happy to have volunteers join us for the entire event as well):
- Shift 1: 3:00pm - 9:00pm
- Shift 2: 6:00pm - 12:00pm
Event hours: 6:30pm-11:00pm

Description
According to the World Health Organization, there are more than 70 million people in the world who need a wheelchair but don't have one. Founded in 1996, UCP Wheels for Humanity provides appropriately fitted wheelchairs and quality of life services to children and adults with physical disabilities in developing countries. We also serve as an advocate and capacity-building partner to local organizations, so we can build sustainable, community-based systems that create long-term change.
