Camp counselors at Camp Boggy Creek play with kids! We are a camp for children with chronic and serious illnesses and we need volunteers to serve as cabin counselors. This summer, we will have 8 week-long sessions of camp and you can choose to volunteer for one or more sessions. You will volunteer in a cabin with 2-3 other volunteers and 2 summer staff members. Your cabin team will be responsible for helping your 8-10 campers have the best week of their lives! Staying on camp overnight for the week is mandatory and food and housing will be provided. Here is the full schedule for this summer:
- June 1-7 North Florida Cancer session
- June 9-15 Heart session
- June 18-24 South Florida Cancer session
- June 27 - July 3 Epilepsy session

Mission Statement
Camp Boggy Creek makes it possible for children with serious illnesses and their families to experience a free, life-changing camp where safety, respect, love, and joy come together to enrich their physical and behavioral health.
Description
Camp Boggy Creek is a year round medical camping facility for children, ages 7-16, who have chronic or serious illnesses. We are part of the SeriousFun Children's Network, founded by the late actor Paul Newman. We serve over 13 different illness groups including heart disease, HIV, sickle cell anemia, and cancer. The children who come to our camp come absolutely free of charge along with our volunteers. We are a not-for-profit organization, which depends entirely on the monetary generosity of others, as well as on the volunteer man-power to help make this experience happen for these children.
Our programs allow our kids to experience fun, adventure, and independence: catching their first fish, shooting a bow and arrow, or climbing the "tower" while helping them to create some incredible memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.
Please visit our website at www.boggycreek.org for details on how you can apply or send an e-mail to volunteer@campboggycreek.org!
